Royal Gorge Rafting uses Vanguard rafts that give an exceptional ride whether the water is high or low!
Our Vanguard rafts have a low “rocker” in the bow which puts the rafters through the waves as opposed to up and over the white water. This gets our clientele into the action no matter the water level and creates the most thrilling ride on the river.
A few companies will advertise “thrill rafts” and charge an extra fee to use them! Whereas all of our rafts are designed with a thrilling ride in mind. We see it every day where others are high & dry and we are immersed in the full white water rafting experience!
This years rafting season has been one of the best in years due to the steady rainfall up stream in the Arkansas River Basin and a great snow pack that melted off slowly into the summer. We are still encountering flows that are 100% above average which has made for an amazing white water rafting season.
Royal Gorge Rafting will be rafting well into September this year due to the warm weather we experience in Colorado’s high desert atmosphere on the Arkansas River.
